…is not adhering to a set of beliefs or a creed, and then getting others to do the same.
It is, at its core, following Jesus Christ and being reconciled to God through Him and inviting others to join us.
“All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of [...]

Yesterday at lunch, one of the missionaries I work with read Daniel 3. I heard something in verses 17 and 18 that I had never thought of before.
If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, [...]
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.
Stand firm, then,
and do not let yourselves
be burdened again
by a yoke of slavery.”
(Gal. 5.1 NIV)

Once, there was a man who set out on a journey. He had a clear destination and a map with a planned path to arrive at his destination. He was traveling at a good clip when suddenly his map and the terrain before him seemed to contradict each other. And so he, in a fit of [...]

…what is it?
I’ve been pondering that question a lot recently.
Communion with my Redeemer is the first thing that comes to mind.
Intimacy must be maintained through communication.
If I stopped talking to Michelle, our relationship would wither.
If I stopped telling her I loved her, she might begin to question if I do.
If I stopped writing her poetry, [...]
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.
Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves
be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”
(Galatians 5.1 NIV)
It is for freedom Christ has set us free.
His oppression procured our liberty.
Our sin-blinded eyes are now open to see.
It is for freedom Christ has set us free.
Stand firm, [...]
This morning, during my devotions, I read Psalm 32.
It is one of the passages of scripture that the Lord gave me when He assured me of my salvation.
Blessed Are the Forgiven
A Maskil of David.
Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered.
Blessed is the man against whom the LORD counts no iniquity,
and in [...]

“But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep” (I Thes. 4.13-14 ESV).

Our God is the creator of diamonds. He puts pressure on carbon for thousands of years, producing this beautiful and valuable stone. Although, we know that the same God who turned water into the best of wines could certainly form a diamond with a word in an instant; yet He continues to use the wonders [...]
This morning, I read Psalm 116. And I saw a familiar verse in a different way.
“Precious in the sight of the LORD,
is the death of his saints.”
(Psalm 116:15 NIV)
In the past, I’ve viewed this verse to mean that when the redeemed pass from physical life to physical death, they are home with the Lord. And [...]
