Last night, a few of us met with our pastors to continue a conversation we’ve been having regarding house churches and church plants. And during one of our times of prayer, our pastor Phil prayed this wonderful prayer.
“Lord, help us see this is not about us building our kingdom.
It’s about being yielded vessels so you can use us to do whatever you want.”
Am I truly yielded to the Lord so He can do whatever He wants?
That’s clearly a rhetorical question.
The answer is “No.”
And so this morning, I echo Phil’s prayer.
Lord, forgive me for living this life as if it is all about me.
Grant me grace to truly yield my everything to you so that, through me, you can do whatever you want.
