a new addition to our little family
Feb 6th, 2009 by Nathanael
Last night, we adopted and picked up Cheddar from the Lancaster County Humane League.

Of course, he pooped in his crate on the way home.
So his introduction to our home was a traumatic bath.
But he is very affectionate.

Last night, actually 1:30 this morning, I carried him down to his litter box.
He peed.
I praised him.
And then I couldn’t fall asleep.
He kept trying to climb up on our pillows.
We kept putting him back at the foot of the bed, explaining that our pillows were for our heads.
This morning, Michelle said she is afraid he is breaking her, not the other way around.
Welcome, Cheddar, to our home.
He’s been declawed already, so he’s not sharp cheddar.
[that was funny]
You know, there are less painful ways of doing penance than getting a cat. For example – ripping out your fingernails, walking on hot coals, watching Oprah…the list goes on and on. Oh well. Good luck to you then.
Does that mean you’re not gonna bring Esther over to play with her “cousin”?
oh my…another one of my brothers has gone down the path of cat ownership..another house i will be unable to visit without medication and a box of tissues!
he is cute though.
You are an emotional wreck…only visiting your family with medication and tissues…
But we still love you.
That’s a really pretty kitty
We’ve got one that looks fairly similar to cheddar there.
p.s. I laughed at the sharp cheddar joke ^_^
Hey, sister.
Cheddar is very cute.
You actually laughed at that joke?
Everyone else just rolled their eyes and said, “Oh brother!”
But I’m used to that.
