Salt enhances a dish.
We’ve all heard people say, “This needs salt.”
It doesn’t mean the dish is bad.
It merely means that an additional few grains of salt will bring out the flavor even better.
A great chef may have a myriad of herbs and spices. But they always have salt handy.
Michelle is a phenomenal cook. She adds all kinds of ingredients and spices and flavoring to a dish that help bring out flavors that I didn’t even know existed. Yet, she always brings the sea salt grinder to the table and often adds some to her own dish. And she would not be the least offended if you added some to yours.
A proper amount of salt enhances the food.
You don’t taste the salt.
Jesus said “You are the salt of the earth” (Matt. 5.13).
By our lives, by our actions, by our words, we enhance Christ.
