Borrowed Breath

This whole house project has revealed how loved we are. Our family and friends have totally stepped up when we need them. After a productive day of moving and work on the house yesterday, we arrived at Tim and Jen’s where we’ll be staying until we can move into our house. Our good friends Jon and Jen and their daughter Gloria Wren were coming over as well to spend the evening with us.

Overwhelmed by the love we’ve been shown, as I was carrying a laundry basket from the car to the house, I said to Michelle, “We are so rich.”

Our wealth comes in the form of people who would do anything for us. Both her family and mine have been, and continue to be, supportive in prayer and time and gifts. There is no way to measure this prosperity. And so you just have to step back, try to take it all in, marvel at its vastness, and praise the Lord.

So many people in this world are alone and isolated. And we are pleasantly smothered with love from those around us.

I don’t want to take that for granted.
I am grateful.
