suspended by rain

Last night’s game was temporarily suspendedby nasty conditions at the Park. I heard a fan interviewed this morning who said that the game should have been called in the fifth inning, which would have been a complete game giving the Phillies a 2-1 victory.
I’m sorry, but I’m glad the Rays tied it up. It would feel semi-anti-climatic to win the World Series on a game called by rain. Granted, the Phillies had multiple chances to blow the game wide open. And Joe Buck, fearing the viewers were suffering from short term memory loss, reminded us of this fact several times.
Okay, so we stink when it comes to getting hits with runners in scoring position. We know. The players know. The viewers know. Give us just a little credit, Joe. I’m sure no one is more upset about this slump than the players themselves.
Oh well, we’ll see what happens tonight.
so I am officially sick of the commentators during this series! they are ridiculously repetitive, believe the viewers have either never watched baseball before and/or have incredibly low IQs, and their jokes are awful! anyway… I agree that I would not have wanted that victory. what a crazy series!
I keep hearing that more and more people are weary of the commentators in this Series.
It’s a shame, because I always appreciated Joe Buck until very recently.
