the Lord knows

The other day, I told the Lord I wish I loved Him more. He told me He knows. He sees deep down into the innermost part of my soul where that yearning longs for an outlet. He said He knows. And that makes me want to love Him more than I already desire to love Him.
Oh that my outward signs of love matched the intensity of this inward passion!
I know how that goes
It’s perpetual, isn’t it?
It makes me very grateful for grace.
