pit so deep

I was cleaning up some documents in my computer this morning, when I came across this simple poem I wrote last year. I actually posted it then as part of an entry on this site, but was struck this morning by its simplicity and power. So I’m re-posting it.
There is no pit so deep,
That Jesus is not deeper still,
How do we know?
We’ve been there.

He has been there.
There is no pit no deep,
That His love is not deeper still,
