answered prayer

So often, we pray for something in particular, and our Lord answers with a resounding “No!”
This happened to us recently. We were looking at a townhouse that needed some work. This brought it into our limited price range. We went through the whole process with the bank. And when we were about to put an offer in on the house, the seller decided he would fix it up and sell it at a higher price, which bumps it out of our limited price range.
We’ve been looking at this place–and dreaming about some of the changes we could make–for a few weeks. Our hopes were up. Now they are dashed. And now we are starting over again.
It’s disappointing. But it is an answer to our prayer…just not the answer we were hoping for.
I know how you are feeling.
We just have to rest and have peace in His infinite wisdom and the plans He has for us.
Amen.
I feel it tooooooooo — but with finding a teaching job….. it will come …and it will be better than we could have planned!
