Carrying a burden I’m not meant to bear,
The pressing weight of guilt and despair,
Neglecting the yoke you promised to share,
My spirit is crushed.
To you whose yoke is easy and burden light,
To you who bids my earth-bound soul take flight,
And who ask me to walk by faith, not by sight,
My spirit I entrust.
The burden is lifted and my spirit is free,
Borne by you, the bearer of Calvary,
Your love procured this new-found liberty,
My spirit is alive.
Now you call me to others under the load,
Of the weight of life that corrupts and corrodes,
And to share their burden along this weary road,
Their spirit to revive.

I like how you had “their spirit” rather than “my spirit” for the last verse; it shows how we’re not done by just having out burden lifted, but that we’re supposed to help others as well.
Amen!
We’ve been rescued so we can rescue.
We’ve been forgiven so we can forgive.
We’ve been redeemed so we can redeem.
We are loved so we can love.
IT’S NOT ABOUT ME!
That is so freeing!
