God unseen
Jul 29th, 2008 by Nathanael
God unseen,
But not unknown,
You redeem,
And atone,
The unclean,
The lost and alone,
You intervene
And call us your own.
God of grace,
You welcome in,
Those disgraced
And stained with sin,
The self-abased,
Conscience thin,
To your embrace,
And your love wins.
God unseen,
But not unknown,
Your grace redeems,
Your mercy atones.

nathanael, whenever i visit here, i get such a strong fragrance of the incense of worship. i also sense a tenderness for the metanoia experience. this poem is consistent with these and beautiful.
Thanks, Laure, that means a lot.
Praise the Lord!
I had to look up “metanoia” since I was unfamiliar with the word.
I’ll have to add it to my verbal repertoire and try to use it in a sentence to show off.
(Not that you were showing off)
Shalom
I wish I knew more guys who worshiped God by writing poetry. It truly is a beautiful form of showing your love for Him. Well done.
Thank you, sister.
It is interesting to me how the Lord makes us all different in how we express ourselves.
For me, writing is a form of worship and an outlet.
I can’t imagine not being able to express myself this way.
It is a blessing to me.
It’s humbling that others are blessed by my offerings.
All praise to Jesus.
Thanks again.
Shalom
