“Martian Child”
Mar 7th, 2008 by Nathanael
We just watched “Martian Child” the other night. I highly recommend it. It was probably one of the best movies I’ve seen in a while. At one point, David Gordon, one of the main characters, is speaking with Dennis, the young boy he is adopting. And he makes this profound statement, “…right now, you and me here, put together entirely of atoms, sitting on this round rock with a core of liquid iron, held down by this force…called gravity, all the while, spinning around the sun at 67,000 miles an hour, and whizzing through the Milky Way at 600,000 miles an hour, in a universe that very well may be chasing its own tail at the speed of light. And amidst all this frantic activity, fully cognizant of our own imminent demise, which is a pretty way of saying we all know we’re all gonna die, we reach out to one another.”
We reach out to one another.
Reach out to someone today. And if someone reaches out to you, welcome them. Don’t brush them off.

I want to see that movie really bad. I’ve been seeing some really good reviews from people I respect.
Cheers.
Run–don’t walk–to your nearest Blockbuster!
Enjoy.
Cheers
