I really should stay here just a bit longer,
Yet something within me is restless, astir,
Compelling me to leave this trysting place,
Longing to go back, each footstep retrace.
Yet my spirit knows I should linger here,
Here where your presence quells my fear,
Where your whispered promises restore me;
Where I catch little glimpses into your glory.
Here I will linger and soak it all in.
Here I’ll remain and confess all my sin.
Here I will let you love all over me.
Here I belong and here I am free.
Jesus, my Redeemer, my hiding place,
I will bask in your mercy and swim in your grace.
I will linger here just a little bit longer.
Watching my weakness making us stronger.
