I’m not sure what happened…I posted this poem yesterday, but this morning it was gone.
Maybe a monster came and ate it.
.
As your light is breaking thru,
Exposing lies I thought were true,
Darkness that I thought was light,
Blindness that I thought was sight,
Old things that I thought were new.
Shining into hidden places,
Shattered dreams and squandered graces,
With deepest truths that surpass
The edges of religion’s masks
Covering my many faces.
Yet I find a strange relief,
Your truth is my delusion’s thief.
No longer do I have to hide
Behind my damning, foolish pride,
Grace supplants my sad fig leaf.

“Grace supplants my sad fig leaf.”
Wow… penetrating thought.
Thanks, Tony.
