purify to serve

“How much more will the blood of Christ,
who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God,
purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.”
(Hebrews 9:14 ESV)
Cleansed and purified
To serve the living God.
Purged and sanctified,
Stripped of my facade.
Acknowledging my guilt,
Holding nothing back,
Divine blood was spilt,
A sacrificial act.
Now the curtain’s torn
And I can enter in
Once forsaken and forlorn,
And overcome with sin.
Now a way’s been made
For me to come inside,
Boldly and unafraid,
I draw near to Jesus’ side.
Cleansed and purified
To serve the living God.
Purged and sanctified
And stripped of my facade.
